Following The Crowd
As an intern, you are asked to complete a multitude of tasks.
Whether it be attending events, writing articles for clients, reviewing a case study, or looking over and creating posts for social media sites; you're always doing some sort of work.
Interning is a great way to learn a little bit about what the real world will expect from you once you graduate college. It also will give you a taste of some things you may be doing in the field of work you choose-so choose wisely.
At my internship with the PR firm in Tampa, I am always on the go. From creating a variety of social media posts for our many clients, to editing a magazine article for a medical journal; I always have a variety of jobs,
As an intern, it is important that you master the phrase "yes, i'd love to!" because when you're asked to do something, you better be enthusiastic and willing to work hard, or you might establish a bad reputation with your supervisor.
Interns are expected to do what they are told- kind of like a child, to be seen and not heard. You want to make sure you are being respectful at all times, and are willing to move out of your comfort zone in some instances depending on what job you are assigned.
Internships are all about experience and training. So it is important that you take advantage of them if you have the opportunity.
Allow yourself to be better and learn from experiences because that is what will make you a better candidate when applying for jobs after college.
